Who I Am

As an introduction, I've elected to select a few of my personality traits to discuss for you over the next week or two. Don't worry I will not be telling you how pretty, intelligent or funny I think I am. That can be for you to decide.

Trait #1? I’m dedicated.

I find something that works for me and that I enjoy doing and I stick with it. I don't really like change. I am a strong believer in "If it's not broken, don't fix it" [read: traditional]

I started horseback riding when I was 6 and I am still riding today because I love it. Horses in my opinion are the purest form of therapy for the human soul. I'm currently reading into the Parelli philosophy of horsemanship and I must admit it has opened my eyes over and over. I have been around horses for over 15 years and it is teaching me new things every time I read it. I definitely recommend it.

I learned how to clog when I was 7, and I still dance every week with the same group of women as I did when I started. Clogging is an Appalachian style of stomp dance that is similar to tap, but in my [twisted & totally non-objective] opinion, better :) Check out this video if you are curious what an amazing clogging routine looks like: Amazing Clogging

My dad taught me to snowmobile when I was 8, and it’s still our father - daughter thing that we do together today. Every winter since then all I think about is going snowmobiling with my dad. Currently New York State is experiencing the worst winter season I can remember. Note: I'm only 22, and my perspective is one that wants & enjoys snow and blizzards. My family has a cabin on the Tug Hill Plateau of the Adirondack Mountains in New York, and it is the most heavenly escape that I have ever experienced. Check it out on Facebook here - Camp Pol-Cat Here are some pictures I've taken in the past few years that I am really fond of:

And finally the best example of dedication that I can think of is being a Buffalo sports fan. This has NOT been our year. The Bills have been struggling since the 90's - let's be real. But the Sabres this year are also falling to the way side. I love them and I will always love them, because there is something about growing up in Buffalo that leaves most of the population with the ability to ignore the teams record. Its' a gift?

Trait #2? I'm Scatterbrained.

I forget things all the time. One of the biggest problems with my forgetfulness is that my darling boyfriend calls me out on it, on a regular basis. This is us below at a Halloween Party in 2010.

Sometimes I do forget important things, but usually they are ridiculous things. Silly things like my sneakers when I go to the gym, or my keys as I'm walking out of my house. I have lost several cell phones. I honestly lost a boot once. The number of mismatched socks in my drawer might scare you.

Although I am clearly forgetful and scatterbrained - but I don't want you to think I'm not smart. I actually am. However, the airhead in me often is in the driver seat.
